Welcome to R Symons
Car enthusiasts, vehicle sales and now one of the UK's leading electric car specialists. There are plenty of garages selling electric cars now but not many actually know a great deal about them, especially Teslas. We are the refreshing difference and our knowledge you should find exceeds that of anyone else.
I am unlike almost any other vehicle trader you are likely to meet. I set up my business because I am a true car enthusiast and I love buying and selling great cars and helping people find the right car for them.
Initially, as a young lad, I completed a degree in design but my ambitions to become a car designer were hard to fulfil. Over time the path of life lead me into the world of software where I was a UK director for an excellent company, but I had to step down from this job to commit time for family life upon the arrival of our daughter 2009. It was then in 2010 that I basically converted a hobby into a living and I’ve been playing with cars full time ever since!

An Excellent Five-Star Experience from Start to Finish
The way the team managed my experience was absolutely five-star. They made the whole process of buying a car so simple and straightforward, ensuring that everything I asked for was taken care of professionally and efficiently.
On the day I collected the car, I was made to feel incredibly important. The car was ready, everything was in place, and the whole handover was seamless. Joe, in particular, deserves a special mention. He spent over an hour going through all the car's features and information with me, explaining everything clearly and making sure I understood how everything worked. His knowledge, patience and approach made the experience even better.
The whole experience, from the initial purchase through to collection, was excellent. It is clear that the team genuinely cares about providing a great customer experience, and I cannot fault the service I received.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to purchase a car. If you want a dealership that makes the whole process easy, professional and enjoyable, I would definitely recommend giving them a visit.

Great to deal withI have never once thought about actually buying an EV not because of reliability but range anxiety and also there value used to plummet. However I have been following this company on YouTube and noted there 5* reviews and thought it would be a good punt to buy an EV from them. Specifically a Tesla model 3 who have the best battery and range for what we could afford. They were very easy to deal with and even picked us up at the train station as we had a 200 mile round trip. The car was slightly higher priced than your normal tesla model 3 22 plate compared to car supermarkets etc , but I trusted their expertise and the car came with a 6 months warranty to ensure I wasn’t going to be disappointed. My only issues were the car had a new mot done and had an advisory !! on which they tried to explain to me that it was a normal find but not to worry about it!! That was slightly annoying and hopefully it’s not going to cost a lot next mot , I was also told on there video that they would touch up the small stone chips on the front bumper but hadn’t ! I asked specifically if they do it whilst we were there however as they tried to buff it more paint flaked off ! Jo was apologetic and said normally they would get sorted but as we had travelled he gave us the option of getting it done our end and would reimburse me which we agreed to. Apart from that we love car and I would recommend these to buy an EV from . -

I had originally tried to buy a Tesla through Tesla Southampton which was an awful experience - Richard, Jo, Serge, Tom and the team at RSEV saved the day and put Tesla themselves to shame. If you’re in the market, avoid Tesla Southampton and go and chat with the guys at RSEV, you won’t regret it ! -

This is the second time I have purchased a car from R Symons, they have once again, above and beyond and provided me with a trade-in for my old electric car for a large Tesla, the service quality and staff are amazing. I can highly recommend them although they’re based about four hours away from me. I was happy to drive down to buy another car from them because I know how great the cars are with their point checks, but also their knowledge and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to buy an electric car. Looking forward to trading this one in in a few years time lol -

Seamless, no-pressure sales with 5* service
The whole team from start to finish were attentive, helpful and didn’t put any pressure on the sale whatsoever. I was a long distance buyer so didn’t see or drive the car until I went to collect it. An in-depth walk round video was done for me that pointed out any minor flaws (car is 5 years old so had usual bits and pieces as expected). When I went to collect there was a small scratch that wasn’t noted during prep or discussions and Jo agreed to pay for the repair without hesitation. Again, was easy and seamless and nothing was too much for them to accommodate. No plans to change the car any time soon, but I know where I’m getting my next one from and would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone wanting electric. -

Having viewed various Tesla 3,s at dealerships in Lancashire and Yorkshire we travelled 270mls to R Symons at New Milton on the south coast. I have to say this is exactly how a dealership should be run. We were met by Jo who is more knowledgeable about Tesla’s than the people at Tesla themselves. We came specifically to view a 75 reg Tesla 3 with only 772mls on the clock. The car was presented immaculately. Jo then spent an hour on handover educating my son Simon on Tesla’s finer points. with our purchase and highly recommend this company. Do watch R Symons videos on YouTube.
